My first time to join. I could not resist posting this picture of my son inside the tunnel during his class last week.

We have around 5 television sets here at home right now. All have cable but even then I can't seem to get hold of the perfect TV time with my son constantly demanding to watch Barney. We hang out in our room a lot because its baby-proofed unlike the rest of the house where there are lots of areas where he can fall down or bump his head.
The only thing is our room does not have a television set. We do however have a laptop and that's where the boy watches his videos when were upstairs. I can go out and watch tv outside the room but the boy would whine and want me to watch with him inside the room. So I have no choice but to stay inside and watch Barney with him.
I was thinking of maybe trying directtv.
Have you ever tried watching through Direct TV? As as far I know it is a direct broadcast satellite (DBS) service based in El Segundo, California, USA trademarked as directv. What it does is it transmits digital satellite television and audio to households in the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America except for Mexico. Right now, its primary competitors are Dish Network and cable providers.
It has not been introduced in my part of the globe just yet, so that means I have to live with sharing/fighting over tv viewing with my 2-year old boy. For the mean time, I'll check for more information on Direct TV.
y happiness for the said PR update was cut short due to the sad fact that this blog has gone from 3 to zero faster thank you can say, "whatthefckhappened mr g?!"
Anywhoo.
That's fine. I purchased this domain about 30 bucks and I have long recovered that amount. I will however continue to bombard this blog with stuff/updates and tags in the hopes of regaining back some rank.
Even 1/10 is better than none at all right?
Hope you guys are having a better Monday than me,xoxo

To my equally fabulous but slightly bigger sister, my only sister - Happy happy Birthday~
27 on the 27th huh?
We may not agree on many things especially when we were younger, now that were a bit older (and wiser) I am glad we've grown closer each day. You're always there for me and Ozzy especially now that Josh is far. I need all the help I can get raising that boy.
You took this picture while I was busy doing my thing with the kodak printer, I guess we know whose vain-er? Hah! YOU hands down. I have a tip, yellow bathroom lighting makes your skin glow in pictures. That's where most of my vanity shots are (in the CR while getting ready!). And that's actually the truth.
Have a fab day and hope you loved my gifts!
I've been getting lots of calls lately asking me if #1 - I have a credit card. My answer to that is yes and this would immediately be followed by question #2 - Do I want to get a loan to possibly pay off my credit card balance?
Some companies offer payday loans to allow us to pay-off our existing credit card debt for a much lesser interest rate. While credit cards are life savers - when handled the wrong way will lead to a huge amount of mess.
Fortunately for me, I've never needed to result to fast cash loans just yet. I may look like I spend a lot on fashion and what-not; in reality I am the biggest Scrooge there is. I don't mean this in a negative way but since having a baby I have been very vigilant of how I spend my money.
But its nice to know that I have a helpline out there. You know in case one day I'll need a loan for something fast.
In less than three months the holidays will be here again, while some of you are busy Christmas shopping some people are actually dreading the whole holiday rush. Most Filipinos only have enough money for the essentials especially during these times when prices of the very basic things like rice, oil and fuel have gone crazy up.
Lucky for some there's 13th month pay and Christmas bonus to stretch the budget a little and splurge during the holidays. If not there are always reputable companies offering cash advance to provide fast cash without the hassle of going through a bank.
As long as you make sure to get one from a reputable company; there's no problem with this set-up at all. This reminds me, I haven't started saving up for the holidays - I vow to start now.
A good friend is celebrating her blogs' very first anniversary!!! Eds, of ...my precious niche... is having a contest to kick things off for her second year!

Oh me, Oh my! This looks heavenly!!!
I've always had a serious love affair with anything that's shiny, shimmery and splendid. Anything that glitters - I generally adore. Except when its full blown sequined tacky, okay? I never leave home without a single piece of Jewelry in my body because I feel naked without it. My favorite pieces are earrings, rings and bracelets.
Unlike most ladies who's had the luck of receiving Engagement Rings from their spouses - I received none. Well, actually I did it was a promise ring but it was not diamond or anything. It was sterling silver. But its the thought that counts plus it was really pretty. I still have it until now and its still pretty and I love it.
Although - I've been looking at pieces now online and there are really beautiful Sapphire Jewelry that caught my fancy. Okay so sapphire isn't exactly my birthstone, its actually emerald, but I feel green is not my color.
Anyway, its always fun to browse around and look for something special, who knows? The husband might get to read this and add it to my wish list for Christmas! *jewelry/lv* wink wink.
If not then the husband knows that his presence here at home is a much better gift than any material thing out there. Just so you know Chi, I don't mind if we can't save much if you go home this Holiday the important thing is you are home.

Do you have kids? Yes, I have one. A son.
How old are they? 26 months old.
What do you think is the ideal age for the kids to be sent to school? Personally kids should enter pre-school at around 5. By 7 they are in Grade 1 that's normal and for me about right.
Would you consider sending your 3-year-old toddler to school? Why not? My 2-year old is enrolled now in a "class" but in reality its a play and learn class where he can interact with other kids (important since there's no kids here at home) and he also learns from it. As long as I see he's having fun, then why not? See evidence of how fun he is having here.
Explain your reasons : Ozzy is the only baby in the family of adults. He is constantly with the maids since I work and his dad is away, going to school (Gymboree) is a welcome change to his routine. I would also like him to develop friends and playmates there. Not to mention he's playing while learning. Plus he gets to have stars stamped on his stomach, isn't that all kids want? hee hee

A friend whose very much an Industrial Engineer is branching out to a more interesting(?) hobby. I remember when I first Diane, it was in our freshman year ~ she was one heck of a voluptuous lady. Her dad was the Chairman of the Fine Arts Department, suffice to day he was an Artist in every way. Her - on the other hand was a self-confessed non-artist.
Fast-forward 8-years later here she is pursuing a career in layout and graphic design. She said she can do:

Ozzy has become harder to feed lately, I don't know if its because he's asserting himself more or if he's just not loving the foods prepared for him. Before he used to love beans, kangkong and all kinds of greens (except ampalaya); now he hates them!
He only likes noodles (instant), pork (usually when its grilled) and pancit. Its frustrating to say the least especially if he just plays with the food or throw it(!) on the ground. Its such a waste not to mention disrespectful. Sometimes, I just let him be and let him have an more milk instead just so there's something in his tummy.
Did you know that during his last check-up he even lost weight!? Can't help being a bit worried here. I was looking for nice healthy appetizing meals online, there's a lot to choose from, even green bean casserole looks appetizing enough.
Any suggestions on what I should prepare for my 2-year old?

Last Sunday was my dad's hometown fiesta. We would have gone if not for our busy schedules. I miss hanging out in the backyard where there were lots of chicken and pigs. Ozzy loved it. The only downside is that the house itself has no internet connection so we have to go the nearest internet shop to go online.
Jaro,Leyte is 1hour away from Tacloban. It literally is in the boondocks. We go there mainly because of my paternal grandmother.
Lately though, my 91-year-old grandmother has been having problems controlling her bowel movements (I'm just glad there are reliable incontinence products out there today). I mean, she doesn't even remember her own daughter at times! We laugh about it now but we are still thankful that she's with us and that she hasn't lost her spunky attitude. She even agrees to play Mahjong with us when we offer.
...Or Nouveau Riche in French basically means someone who has acquires a considerable about of wealth in his own lifetime. Some inspiring rags to riches story include that of William Henry "Bill" Gates III , Oprah Winfrey and the classic fairytale Cinderella. Stories like this, real or a fantasy serve a purpose. It is to inspire even those that have little to aspire for greater things in life.
I've recently watched the movie The Pursuit of Happyness (intentionally misspelled for the movie )starring Will Smith. It was a truly inspiring real life story of Chris Gardner who rose between social classes and made history with his inspiring story of courage and perseverance. His wealth, his new acquired status, Nouveau Riche as we say it changed his life forever.
Imagine from sleeping in subway restrooms or other times they literally are left out in the cold; he was determine to become the sole trainee in a brokerage firm Dean Witter Reynolds that promises employment to only one trainee. Since he was an intelligent man he landed the job and later he started his own brokerage firm, called Gardner Rich, in 1987. Then in 2006 he sells a minority of it for a multi-million dollar deal. Now that's Nouveau Riche right there!
Makes you think, right? In pursuit of our happiness..is distance and separation worth it? Yes, I am still in this - I can't get over the fact that I miss my husband so much. Seriously thinking of relocating. But, Norway???

That, my dear friends is the Walt Disney Concert Hall. It was opened on October 23, 2003 and was designed by Frank Gehry. It seats 2,265 people and serves (among other purposes) as the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
Did you know that in this very Concert Hall the American Idol's special week of Idol Gives Back was held. Where Ellen DeGeneres co-hosting for them and where Rascal Flatts, Kelly Clarkson, and Il Divo performed. Also, the finale of the 2008 movie Get Smart was filmed at the Concert Hall.
I am not so into concerts and opera but I know for a fact that Walt Disney Concert Hall Tickets are very hard to come by. Good thing, there's another option for those interested in scoring great seats at a reasonable price.
By using A Cheap Seat you are guaranteed available tickets and an option to buy premium Walt Disney Concert Hall tickets because A Cheap Seat is the secondary market for tickets - even sports tickets, Rose Parade Tickets, Broadway Theater tickets, Houston Rodeo Tickets, even tour maps, schedules and tickets.
Purchasing the tickets is also a breeze since you can do it online, in the comforts of your home without the long lines, and you can pay with your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. No worries because all cards are charged only after we are able to guarantee and fill your order.
**Oh gosh the last time I attended a concert was 3 years ago?? So many wishes so little time! Check ACheapSeat now.

I have mentioned earlier about Ozzy's Boo-boo, maybe I spoke to soon when I said his nail won't fall off...well..its day 4 and the nail looks definitely dead. *cue music*
A family friend whose a doctor looked at his nail and said that it looks like it has gone to nail heaven and will fall off soon. He'll be okay though, as long as we just clean his dead nail daily there's no need to worry.
You see, I was pretty worried looking at his poor little finger because it was swelling and was beet red on the 2nd day. Its pretty obvious there's infection (over share?) and by Sunday..his nails was changing color already..and you can actually see it detaching from the skin. (ew!)
