Wednesday Hump Day?

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

I always hear this term being thrown around in blogs and in radio shows and I never got it. What does it mean?

Wednesday "Hump Day" ; Referring to Wednesday as "hump day” is a tradition in American English. It refers to the idea that a week — especially a work week — is like a hill. Monday and Tuesdays are days when you climb up, since they are the beginning or start of your work week. At the end of Wednesday, you’ve reached the pinnacle of the week, and your work on Thursday and Friday represents climbing down toward the weekend.

What a pinnacle. I feel super sleepy. I have tons to do. Folders are piling up on my tray and I don't feel like finishing all of them. The baby has been very active, heavy and is getting bigger and bigger everyday. I sure hope tomorrow and Friday would be better for me. On the brighter side, at least I got the car tuned-up and it had its flushing and change of oil. That's one thing crossed off my list of things to do for this week.

How's your Wednesday?
