Too Much Planning

Planning a wedding super early has its downsides after all.
You see, many can happen in a year's time. My MIL is right, it is best to start actively planning around 6 months before the wedding date. Of course, getting all the major stuff booked is important so you can do that ahead and all the rest should be done and finalized later.
Why? That's because you will tend to change your mind a LOT when planning for a wedding, the color palette, the motif, the style of the wedding invitations, giveaways and so much more!!! Case in point, I was set on wearing plum during my BIL's wedding, now it seems the motif has been changed to hot pink.
I realized, its too early to decide right now regarding my dress's color and style. I'll just seriously think about it in July.
I didn't have any problems like this when I was planning my own wedding, you know why? We only had 2 months to prepare! :)
