Sometimes, I wish ___________________ .

  • I can teleport so that distance is no longer an issue.
  • Taller, fairer, skinnier.
  • I can fly.
  • That there was no more poverty, hunger and wars.
  • I have my own walk-in closet with rows and rows of beautiful designer clothes, bags, shoes and accessories.
  • I don't have to read minds and interpret signals.
  • I can really say what I feel without the repercussions.

Dreaming.

This weekend, I am going to look at houses for sale.

We are currently in the market for a single detached started house for a small family. While I dream of a wonderful dream house that has a huge manicured lawn in a posh neighborhood, I know that isn't going to happen anytime soon. One can only wish right?

Anyway, the house I am going to visit is already semi-furnished. It had stated in the add that the beds, dining table and chairs are included in the contract price, I wonder if there's also a wireless home theatre system thrown in the mix? Wouldn't that be just perfect.

Purchasing a house is a big step. One that we should tread carefully. After all, hubby's job isn't that stable just yet. But then, it wouldn't hurt to check out what's out there, right?

Wishin' and hoping, hoping and praying here. =)

Nippy Weather

It has been a beautiful nippy day today.

I went out on an errand earlier and I was surprised to see the streets clear of traffic and congestion even though it was lunch hour.

I wish I had worn an cardigan or something because the chilly weather gave me goosebumps. I won't complain because I just love the lowered temperature. No rain, just heavy clouds and cool winds. Perfect for sleeping in. Too bad I have work.

My eyes have become heavy and I can't take coffee. When this kind of weather strikes, I remember my Hubby who makes it an excuse to smoke more cigs. Which reminds me, I should get him 10 packs of black and milds when he comes home for a vacay. He usually buys a lot here and brings it to his friends back in Norway.

Business Ideas

The rains have come and summer is officially over. School has started and the routine of waking up early to get my son ready is hellish. He claims he doesn't like to go to school, but then when we arrive in school, he doesn't even wake goodbye to me because he is too excited. Weird.

Anyway, I promised my son a lot of things to make him go to school every morning. Food, candy, a promise to go to the beach, to the zoo, heck even to a carnival. I was thinking of bringing them to a park, but there's no available public park near our place. There's a commercial playground in the nearest mall but it's just too small. Being a mother of 2 little boys, I always wonder where I can bring my kids where they will enjoy and where parents can feel they can freely have a fun family time which isn't in the mall. I wonder if getting into the commercial playground business is good business???

I will be attending a franchising seminar this Friday. Super excited about it.

Salt Scrubs

My day isn't complete if I can't put lotion on my skin. I have an extremely dry skin which needs to be moisturized constantly. If not, it will flake and it would actually hurt.

I hate it.

I am very insecure about it. I really don't know what to do to relieve the dryness and the excess dead skin which accumulates if I don't get a scrub in 2 weeks. My aunt had suggested I try salt scrubs and see if it will work for me. It did for her. Since she exfoliates daily with the salt scrub, new skin forms plus, it isn't that dry anymore especially if I get the one with coconut and vanilla in it. Plus, it smells really great.

So here I am looking for it online. Who knows? It will work for me too. I really wish it does. I am desperate, I hate my dinosaur hands and feet.

What's Important

Knowing what you know now - would you get yourself life insurance, educational plans or death insurance if you can go back and time? A time where you are young, and have a very minimum policy and risk factor?

I would.

I got mine when I was fresh out of college. I didn't want to at that time but my aunt and mom convince me otherwise. That was 6 years ago. I was single. Now, a grown woman with a husband and 2 boys, I often wished I got 2 educational plans or invested my money where I know my 2 boys can benefit from in the long run. Still, it is not too late. Not for me or my Hubby who has yet to get a life insurance for himself. I told him to look into Wholesaleinsurance.net and decide which one would suit him, his needs and budget. Hope he decides soon!

Diet Plan

IDK about my diet. I need white carbs.

I have succumbed to the temptation and ate 1 and a half cups of pork steam rice. The siomai and chicken feet on the side was pure heavenly too.

I've tried avoiding rice but then again - well, I can't. I'll try again next week. For now, I have started bookmarked a site which sells slimming pills. And for those not interested in fast and "no-exercise" method, you can click here for post workout supplements. Something I don't really know about because I can never see myself working out. Maybe I's take up a sport, badminton or swimming - but I can never picture myself in a gym "sweating it out." That's why I guess, when I gain a few pounds, I immediately find ways to cut back. On sweets, salt, carb - my guilty pleasure in that order.

Wonder if I can ever kick out this habit?

I missed last weeks' FF, so here's mine, one week late.

FFI

And...here we go!

1. This week I have missed going to the Azkals meet and greet thing because my weekend was so exhausting I opted to rest for 3 days.

2. In about 4 weeks the Husband returns.

3. It's all about communication and trust, if not for that - LDR would never work.

4. During the weekend, the kids had so much fun in the sun.

5. I demand an apology.

6. No matter how difficult the path, it's filled with nuggets of wisdom along the way.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to staying home with the kids, tomorrow my plans include going to the beach with my friends and Sunday, I want to hear mass and rest!
